Going Swedish?

Ih, the past few days I’ve been wondering If I shouldnt start blogging in swedish. The reason I even write in english is because i started blogging at a very international community and then when I moved my blog to ”iamcaty” I brought all of my old posts with me so it was only natural to keep blogging on English. Now however I’m realizing that most of my readers are swedish and Im not doing much effort to reach outside of Sweden either.. so the logical thing would be to blog in swedish..(?)

It’s slightly scary tho for some reason, now that I’ve blogged in English for so long it would feel strange to start writing in swedish. Would I alienate people who dont speak swedish? Will I loose them for ever? I’m sure I’d gain more than I’d be loosing tho. Well, we’ll see. As it is now it’s leaning towards starting to write in Swedish. If I do it will happen as I change the blog design :D. I like gathering changes all att once!

Women who kill

I started watching the series ”women who kill” about half an hour ago. I’ts a documentary-series telling different murder stories of women who have killed. >_<. God, how sick is it to enjoy watching real murder stories? Well, cant help it, I like it. While watching it I thought I draw an illustration of a typical women who kill.

Meet Daisy Joy, a 34 year old stay at home mother of three. Convicted for killing a man named Hubbard Stenson, reason; she wanted to start a new life with her secret lover Darleene Harper, Hubbard Stensons wife. – Thats how i’d imagine her story :D. A white trash american with a christian-like name (that doesnt suit her at all) andwith long frizzy hair that hasnt been cut for about 10 years :].

Working on some stuff

Heey! Darn, I feel so bad I havent bloged as much lately. I’m in some type of Limbo where the blog feels/looks so hideous that I dont want to blog untill I have my new design up (wich Im still working on). So Im torn between really wanting to blog but not doing it because of the blogs look, and because I stil have some issues with my computer :/. I dont have access to all of my files, I’d actually need to re-install the computer entirely since its getting slow..buh. Not kewl.

Well, since I dont want to leave you guys hanging I’ll atleast show you what I was working on yesterday :]

Things I doodle when I dont think

Helloou people!

I’ve been super busy at work lately and havent had much time to be creative, except for some of the doodling in my notebook ^^. They are all tiny weird sketches that I’ve doodled during some of our many meetings lately. I dont think the images had anything to do with the actual meetings tho :D, I’ts just a bunch of thoughtless drawing, such as the pooping dog below :]. It doesnt get much classier than this.

I promise I’ll show you some more advanced drawings again once I find the time to draw them ^^.

I wonder what I’ll give Lula this Christmas

Last Christmas I bought a little baby-santa-outfit from Tradera (Swedens ebay) and I re-sewed it into a santa outfit for Lulis. I know she felt pretty silly but besides the outfit she looves christmas :D. Partly because she loves having everyone at home but also because she recieves presents! She sneaks up under the tree days before and sniffs around searching for her gifts (wich usually are dog treats wrapped in paper ^^).

Now a few hours ago I came across doggie.se where I found a bunch of stuff I’d like to buy Lulis, maybe something for this christmas :D. This frog towel was so adorable :D.

Bang!

Hello peoples! I know I’ve been a bit absent lately, I’m going trhough a little blogging-slope but I have every intention to come back with a bang again. Speaking of bang, I cut myself some bangs today! :D I get the impulse about twice a year where I grab a scissor and go chop some  of my hair of, just to get some change, and I liked the outcome ^^. I’ve always been scared of doing ”radical” stuff with my hair but now I atleast know that bangs dont look that bad on me :]..

Hope you guys are doing good, now I’ll go back to sorting out my files on the computer and then watch a cheesy movie before I fall asleep. It’s a  movie named ”Step up”. I saw ”Step up 2″ on tv a couple of days ago and it was wonderfully cheesy. I’ts a movie about streetdance, a white girl that lives in the hood, has alot of hoodie black and latino friends, she secretly enters a ”balet” school and then her hood-friends think she’s gone ”fancy” on them and then she also falls inlove with the popular guy at the balet school..blabla = CHEESE :D.

But in it’s defence the whitegirl and the other people could actually dance! Very unexpectedly.. I liike ^^. Well, Im off, nighty!

Under construction

Hello people,

you might have noticed that my blog is slowely getting uglier and uglier >_<. It’s because I’ve gotten editing-impulses where I’ve thought, ”O, I’ll just throw together a new design within an hour! Quickly, just to get it over with! I can do it!” and weell.. you can see the results :D. Im happy to tell you that I’ve got some new stuff going on tho, I added the photo to give you a little preview on what I’m working on.

About two days ago I decided to change my wordpress theme. The one I am using now is very minimalistic and although I thought it was good to start out from a minimalistic theme – it didnt give me much to work with. I’ve been changing the layhout around quite a bit tho but now I decided to find an entirely new wordpress theme instead, and I found an awesome one! It gave me alot of inspiration and possibility to do some cooler looking stuff.
Well, now Im going back to work. You’ll hopefully see the new design this week. (I know I’ve said it like 4 times allready, im sorry :( )

My video guide – How I edit my blog photos

Hey there!

So here’s the video guide I told you about in the previous post. It’s a guide showing you how I usually edit the photos that I upload on my blog. I usually edit my photos within a minuit or so in a really easy way using ”Curves” and ”Selective color”. In the video I’ll show you exactly how. (Btw, excuse my english. Im swedish, and listening to myself in hindsight I noticed that its sounds very ”Swenglish” at times ^^.)

Here below I’ve also added a step by step guide, since its a bit hard to see the details of what I do in the video.

The Guide step by step:

1. Once you have a photo you want to edit, make sure you have the ”Layers”-window open and click on the button at the bottom of the layer window called ”add fill or adjustment layer” (The one I’ve highlighted in blue below).

2.When you click it you get a list of adjustment settings, start of by choosing ”Curves”. With Curves you’re able to change the lighting and contrast in you picture by clicking on the diagonal line and draging the dots. (You can see my usual curve setting below).

3. Once you’re happy with your curve settings you can go back to the ”create new fill or adjustment”-buttom at the bottom of the layer window, and this time choose ”Selective color”. I usually just play white the ”whites”, ”neutrals” and ”blacks”. I like making my whites a little yellow toned and my neutrals and black a little blue/red toned.

And thats pretty much it!

Making a video

Hi people! I’ve just been screen-recording a little guide-video on how I usually edit my blog post-photos in Photoshop.

It’s not an advance tutorial or anything, I just wanted to share how I simply edit my photos within a minuit, what tools I use and how I use them. I started with recording the screen actions and had to record my ”story telling” voice separately afterwards. Unfortunately I kept being interrupted all the time so i have about 10 different recordings now. My voice ended up sounding all raspy and stuff ^^. Well well. Im trying to edit the video and voice all together now so I can upload the complete video tomorrow!

[UPDATE]: Hm, I’m thinking I might record the guide all over again this evening instead. I noticed that it became a bit to long and the voice-recording sounds really low quality and noisy. I wonder if I have a better mic somewhere..hmm. Im also thinking I might make these ”guides” into a series that I can upload here on my blog. Stay tuned, there will be more to come! (Now I’ll go back to work, buh bye!)

Worked on a new design this weekend!

Good morning!

Yesterday I spent the entire day sketching and drawing the new blog design, so I did keep my promise! The design is pretty much done, now I just have to implement it. It should be up on the blog within 3 days :].

Ugh, Im feeling really tired today tho, didnt get much ”rest” this weekend. Since I work by a computer everyday I should leave my weekends computer-free but there’s so much fun stuff to do on it >_<.

Now I’m going right back to work again, got loooads of stuff to get done today, and then I’ll try to get to Sergels torg at 17:00 for yet another demonstration. I’m getting a bit put of by it tho when there’s so many people expressing hate towards racists and people screaming out their own political views. It feels wrong to be in a crowd screaming out things you dont agree with, But hey, it’s still an imortant cause and I’m sure atleast 20% of the people feel the same way I do. I’ll bring my camera this time too, hopefully we’ll be about 10 000 people again :].
