This is it!

Okay, this is it. I’ve been wanting to fix my blogdesign for aages now but I keep coming up with new concepts all the time and never settle. But today, I drew a new sketch and I’m going for it! No buts or maybes, THIS IS IT! I’m not even sure if its my best idea yet but I have to stop this madness >_<.

I get so fed up with myself sometimes when I just cant make up my mind, its hard when there’s a million different possibillities and ways to go, but if  I dont choose a way I’ll never get anywhere :(. So im sticking to this idea, for now its stilll in the idea/sketch phase so I’ll clean it up and work on the details more once I start. My goal is to have a new design up by this upcoming monday! There, I cant take it back! *Pressuure* >_<

A tiny breakfast

I made these little miniatures with cardboard paper about a year ago. I thought i’d make a whole series (I actually made a little cow too) but with time i forgot about it and never finished the idea. I found the paper-cow a couple of days ago but i threw it out, i should atleast have taken a photo of it :/. Hmm, I might try to make a series again!

4 things I like about Autumn

For some reason I got tired of summer pretty early this year, by the end of July I was allready thinking of how cozy it would be with autumn :D. I guess we had so much heat for a while that my inner scandinavian felt the need to balance it out with some cold weather. For you guys who dont like autumn, here are 4 things I do like about the season and that might make you more excited about it too ^^.

Sundays election was a sad day for Sweden

Now I go from ”smiling dogs” to a very sad election. This sunday a racist party (with a deep rooted nazi-history) managed to get enough votes (5.7%)  to get mandates within the government. Racism exists and will always exist, but when a racist party gets influence within the Swedish government and have the possibility to affect my life and the future of my country its simply not ok.

Yesterday I was hoping someone would start a demonstration and thankfully a girl on facebook started an event encouraging people to protest against having this party in the government. I quit work at 17 and got there at 18:00, to my suprise this event had within a few hours managed to gather a crowd of 10 000 people!! I got a bit emotional to be honest :’D.

The same way this racist party democratically got voted in we will democratically show that we want them out!

Smiling dogs

Hello people! I’m currently watching the Swedish government election on TV but thought I’d take a little blogingbreak to talk about something less serious, such as smiling dogs :D.

A few days ago when I was on the train on my way to work I saw a man petting a little dog on his lap. This was about the most charming and cute dog I’ve ever seen! As the man was stroking his head the dog had the cutest smile ever! The doggies’ eyes looked like happy little chinese-eyes and he’s mouth was actually smiling, looking a bit like this-> (^_^).  I could’nt resist to smile right back at him, he made my day ^^.

When I got home I started googling different dog breeds to find out what kind of dog this was and I’m now pretty sure it was a Shiba Inu. Then I kept googling ”Shiba Inu” and found a youtube video that pretty much assured me that it must have been a Shiba Inu:

Once I saw the smiling Shiba I also found a cute video of this Smiling Chihuahua :D. The fact that he’s wearing a little knitted  polo sweater makes him even cuter!

Oh I really like drawing with my colorbrushes, everything looks so funky and happy when you draw in colors. It’s a huge change from always drawing black and white sketches with graphite. Now I have about 48 glossy papers left in my drawingpad so there’s definately more of these to come! :].

When progress is made

Hello people, hope you’re doing good :]

I myself am chilling and wondering of what to do next this evening. I was just working on this new drawing I started of a few days ago but I think I want to do something else now, maybe sew something (?) It would be fun to use some of the new fabric I bought. I’d probably sew a bag of some kind, prefferable something different and not just an ordinary bag… it should look awesome! I have to clean up my desk again tho, its impossible for me to work when its messy around me. My mind cant focus >_<.

Happy birthday mamis!

Today we celebrated my mamis, one day before her birthday since we’ll all be working tomorrow. But I have an extra suprise for her tomorrow too, birthday gift number TWO! *muihihi*. Since I’m the only daughter and my brother and dad arent very good at arranging stuff I made the dinner today and decorated the kitchen. I got the idea for the decorations just as I was supposed to start making dinner so I threw it all together within 15 minuits. It looked like a birthday party for a 4 year old :D, it looked super cute.

Last week

Hello! Im finally back after a couple of days of non-blogging. I’ve been really busy and also accidentally screwed up my photoshop :(. I fixed it tho and also upgraded from CS3 to CS5, exciting stuff. I havent explored it much yet but I’m sure I’ll have more opinions of it within a few couple of days ^^.

Since I havent blogged for a few days I thought I’d make a little update post with random photos from this last week. I love the photo of my Lulis, her eyes are so gorgeous! My cutie! ih! Now for the rest of the evening I’ll 1. Clean my desk and house, I cant work when its this messy. 2.Finnish my ”monday drawing” 3.Wrap my moms birthdaypresents (its her birthday tomorrow!) 4. I’d love to sew something today but I’m allready feeling a bit too tired for it.

But before I start cleaning I’ll keep watching the debate on tv, I’ve never been into politics so I have some studying to do. What do they stand for? What does it mean? Who do I trust?! Dont know yet :/

Trip to IKEA, and the smallest fleamarket in Sweden

Hey you! You people out there.

Today, this morning actually, me and my parents took an early trip to IKEA. We had read on some ads that they would arrange the BIGGEST FLEAMARKET IN SWEDEN on their parkinglot today. We were so excited in the car, I was expecting several 100m long rows of tables with young modern people selling cool awesome stuff. That there would be a thick crowd of thousands of people all gathering for the biggest flea market in Sweden, boy we’re we wrong :/.

Once we got there we got to see that it first of all; was extremely small! It must have been about 20×20 meter wide. And for some reason, within this small area they had set up all of the tables as if they were trying to make a labyrinth. I could hear people around me saying ”ohno, does the path end here?” ”Maybe we can go this way? No, i guess we have to go left..or no, lets just go back the same way we came in :S …”.  IKEA, if you are reading this (yes I expect the entire IKEA concern to read my blog ^^), I am very, VERY dissapointed. :|

After this huge let down, me and my mom thought we’d make the best out of the trip and so bought some fabrics in the actual store IKEA. They have this big pile of different bits and pieces that cost like 49kr a piece, unless you fill an entire plastic bag that will cost you 199kr. We filled the entire bag and got about 15 different fabrics, all big pieces too! Some fabrics were prettier than others but now I atleast have alot of different stuff to experiment with ^^.

Now in COLOR!

Yesterday I finally used my giftcard to buy ostuff at Kreatima. I had allready planned what I’d buy, some black pens with thinner tips, a drawing pad with glossy paper and some color-pens too. I came out of the store with alot more stuff than I thought I’d afford. Awesome! ^^

I’ve never really drawed with felt pens before, only when I was really small and there were some really dry awfull ones at school. When I got home I immediately started drawing with them, just to try them out. It turned into an image of a girl sitting on a branch with alot of stuff coming out of her big hair (?). It’s not done yet, I’ll probably upload new photos when it is :].
