The wedding

If you read my previous post you know that I’ve been looking for an appropriate dress to wear at a wedding. I didnt find one the first two days I went shopping but then on the day just before the wedding i found a goorgeous blue one! I might add some photos of myself later on, my brother inlaw took some shots with his camera.  Besides the dress I also bought a pair of ”high”heeled shoes too ( that were killing me last night as we stood up about 60% of the day).

Anyways, here are some photos from the wedding I went to yesterday. The groom at the wedding is close friends with my boyfriends big brother, who also was the bestman at the wedding :]. This is the first big wedding I’ve ever attended. It was very fairytale-like too. You could tell that they put alot of effort into this day.

The wedding was held at a castle out in Sollentuna at a goorgeous location right by the sea. I never thought there would be something that gorgeous out there ^^.

In loving memory of The King of pop

Today it’s been one year since Michael Jackson died. :(

He was a huge idol of mine when I was younger and I still loove his music. So here’s my second tribute to The king of pop! The first video in this post is of a young Michael on a dating show :D. I love it when the three little girls flirt with him, its all so innocent and cute ^^. The second video is of the song ”P.Y.T” thats been on my mind this last week, I cant get it out of my head >_<.

Anyways, now Im off to watch the Chile-Spain football game and then ”celebrate” Midsummer by waching a movie with my boyfriend :].

Quique Neira celebrating midsummer in Sweden

On the bus ride to work I read that Quique Neira will be performing on a latinofestival on Midsummer! For you who dont know who he is he’s  a Chilean reggae musician that used to be in a band called Gondwana.

Their music is very nostalgic to me. I had their cd when I was about 12 years old and used to read the lyrics on their cover and sing along with every song :D. For me whos Chilean but born in Sweden they were like a little bound to my chilean roots ^^. They always had such pretty lyrics too, many of the songs Quique wrote to his little daughter, such as the song ”Mi princesa”, so theres alot of loving beautiful lyrics in their songs :].

It might be fun to see him perform on midsummer but I think he’s gone solo now, I’m not sure what kind of music he does now a days.

Anyhow, since its such a beautiful sunny day today, here I leave you with some chilean reggae from Gondwana!

Sleepy morning with a big task ahead

Today I have a big task ahead of me, apart from going to work in about 30 minuits, I will have to have found and bought a pretty dress by the end of the day.

I have been invited to a wedding wich I thought would be in June, but now I found out on Tuesday that it is on Saturday, this week! >_<. I’m feeling a little pressure but I’m sure I’ll find something *trying to convince myself*. Actually, i have to find something. I dont have any appropriate clothes that I could wear at a wedding.

I still wish i’ll be able to find something that I’ll actually be able to use again, something that doesn’t look too formal. Today will be my only shot at finding something because tomorrow it will be ”Midsummer” here in sweden, a holiday where every store will be closed.

Random Makeover

Yesterday while I was playing around in photoshop I felt I wanted to retouch something, so I thought I’d give a random person a makeover :].

I googled for woman faces and found this pretty girl. She already had beautiful facial features so it would be a good base for my experiment. I actually impressed myself with the result of this make over :D. I’m really happy with the way I managed to smoothen her skin out and how I managed to blend her skintone into a brighter and smoother color.

When retouching the skin I used the Clone stamp tool alot but also had several layers where I both blured her skin out and manually painted a smother color over her face (that I blended in so it looks natural). I dont do retouches very often but its alot of fun to do ^^.

Creative evening

Today I came home quite early and thought I’d use the time to work on some of my stuff.

I’ve been drawing my new blog background for the last couple of hours as I’ve also been watching tv. The tv-watching  is definately slowing me down tho, I’ll have to wrap it up. Im hoping to have the ”new look” up within about 3 days, so stay tuned ^^.

Hm, now I just got some other new fun ideas of things to draw too so i think I’ll stop working on my background for today. Boh, I wish I didnt have to have a time limit on my creativity, life always gets in the way ;/.

Oh well, Im out for today, goodnight people!

Tuesday car ride

These are some shots I took this Tuesday, when my dad (and Lula the dog) gave me a ride to work.

I snoozed a bit too long that morning  but luckily my dad was just about to go to work himself, close to where I work ^^. If you wonder why Lula looks so crazy in some of the shots it’s because she tried to smell everything we drove by, making her go cross-eyed and funny looking.

Who cares about the royal wedding?

Im sure you all know it by now, but for you who dont; the swedish princess Victoria is getting married this week.

The last couple of weeks I’ve constantly seen it on the news, in the morningshows, the newspapers, ads on the street etc, but I wonder, who really cares? Just look at this picture of the two of them, looking all stiff trying to give a ”proper royal image” of themselfes. Im sure they have a lovely relationship but the whole royal ”look nice, act polite, be perfect”-act is such bull.

Who are these people still rooting for monarchy? Whats so fascinating about it? I really dont get it.

What’s an office without a whiteboard

Here’s our new addition to the office, our huge whiteboard!

We’ve had it for a couple of days now but havent been able to hang it up on the wall yet. Soon, soon my friend. We will have loads of use of our whitey this summer, there’s big plans to draw and discuss, big plans in the making!

I just recently found the shutterspeed-setting on my camera and tonight I tried exploring it a bit more. It resulted in some blurry but interesting photos.

Outfits

Sometimes when I’ve been shoping alot it’s nice to draw little outfit images to remind myself of what clothes I have and how they can be combined. I dont really use them as ”Guidelines” on how to dress tho, its just fun to sketch it all down ^^.

Resurrecting my Ipod nano

About two years ago my boyfriend gave me this little ipod as a gift.

I used it alot the first couple of months but once I got tired of my playlist and wanted to load a new one it all became very tiresome. It got so frustrating trying to find mp3′s to download and itunes was really annoying to use, so I got fed up.

However, yesterday I saw the little nano lying in my drawer and I thought I’d give it one more shot, Im resurrecting my ipod!

All I need to know now is; Where do people dowload their mp3′s now a days? Random torrentsites? Do you download entire albums?

Ihh, there has to be an easier way, I wish Spotify had a download button! ^^.

My new face

Here are some more pictures I took of me and my two-faced head ^^.  After taking that first photo of me holding the face infront of me I got some fun ideas for new drawings to make. If I make some you will surely see them on my blog later on!
